Where annoyance happens

Unless you have been hiding under a heavy rock, you would know that the NBA season started today. It was quite an interesting summer for many of the players, but hopefully they all have a great season. Nonetheless,I have compiled a list of what will annoy me this season. Enjoy :)

1. Bandwagon fans!
-If this isn't annoying, I don't know what it is. It's okay to give a team credit for a good game or a win, but to totally switch sides when "your team" starts losing is unacceptable.

2. Shaq.
-'Nuff said. After watching Kazaam this summer, I have lost all respect I had for him as a basketball player. lol

3. The Lakers ring ceremony.
-Like seriously, do we need to see this every 2 years?

4. Lamar Kardashian (Odom).
-Just cause. Lol

5. Facebook status's and twitter updates.
-Facebook and Twitter are not Sportscenter. We don't need a play-by-play of the games. Keep that to a minimun please.

6. Arguments.
-There's no need to go postal because your team lost. Healthy debates are good, brawls are a no no.

7. Ron Artest and his egregious haircuts. There is no excuse for a grown man having mazes and symbols and names cut in his head. Hopefully he will start some ish on the court so the Lakers games will be interesting.

I got kinda bored with this topic and couldn't think of any more. What are yours?

Dont call it a comeback...

After a much needed hiatus, Chris has proven you cant keep him down. The dancing in this vid is sick, so is the concept. Well my opinion is biased anyway. I hope most of the material on the album is as good as this. Good job Breezy :)

*did anyone else peep that Nicki Minaj look-a-like :/
did ya'll see that body he has now?! woooweeeee.

LOL

I hate when people type like that...
The food stamp comment was insensitive, yet funny at the same time.

It amazes me that people actually put certain things on the internet. Many people dont realize that jobs and colleges are starting to check people's profiles, and something on Facebook can be the reason you didnt get hired, accepted to a school, etc. Im also pretty happy people do stupid stuff like this, so I can have something to laugh at on my uneventful Sunday night. Visit Lamebook for more tomfoolery.

Spotlight: Photography

Pictures can tell a story and it takes a special photographer to get the story across with one shot. Amy Fleming, a photographer for my school's newspaper, is able to do just that. She descibes herself as "A fifteen year old girl who has no time on her hands, yet has all the time in the world." From her pictures, you can tell she likes doing it, and she uses some of her best friends as subject in her photos. If you don't know who she is her official Twitter page is @amyflemwad, but I'm sure you'll learn more about her from her photography. I wish you much success in the future, and I'm officially one of your supporters! Amy is just on of the many talented students at my school and I hope we get a chance to shine light on more talents in the future. View her online gallery here

Hating? Wheredeydodatat?

If you dont like someone or something LEAVE THEM ALONE. Negativity is a waste of time and your time should be spent doing something constructive. Like your mother taught you, if you dont have something nice to say dont say it at all. I know I'm guilty of talking about people with my friends, but its a difference between hating and actively expressing your opinion. Hating is forcing your views upon other because of jealousy, opinion expressing is saying something then leaving it at that. Haters tend to say things over and over until someone eventually agrees with them, opinion expressers have no problem standing alone on an issue. Everyone is NOT a hater. Girls, if another girl doesnt like you, she isnt necessarily a hater. It may be a possibility she just doesnt like you. Same with guys. I apologize in advance for anyone I may talk about in the future, its all love (well maybe not.) I leave you with the words of my favorite rapper and one of my favorite bloggers. Enjoy.

Michael Jackson

Its been about 5 months since the world lost its greatest entertainer, but his legacy continues. On October 27 exclusive rehearsal footage of his This Is It tour will be released in theaters for 2 weeks only, and if I wasnt el broko I would have already got my ticket. Looking at the trailer, that probably wouldve been the best concert ever. A new song entitled "This Is It" has been released to go along with the film. Of course the film will have a soundtrack, which will be available October 26. More info here

Piano Stairs

I would choose the stairs too, unless i could ride the escalator like Buddy in "Elf"

Funny story

So today kicked off my church's annual FaithWorks Conference. It was Family and Friends Day, so basically everybody and they momma was there. When I was in line to get my "dinner" this random man started talking to me. I've seen him before at church, I've just never really paid him any mind. So here was our convo in line.

Him: So how are you?

Me: Im alright, its kinda cold in here. How about you?

Him: Yes me too, are you in school, how old are you?

*by this time I've noticed he had a African sounding accent and a crooked bottom row of teeth (nice suit tho)*

Me: ummmm 15.

Him *shocked look*: OOHHH you're very deceiving, I thought you were older. Well what grade are you in?

Me: a sophomore *laughing in my head at the fact he was gonna try to spit game*

Him: wow, i feel old, Im turning 26 next month.

Then we had a mini convo about school and what I want to major in when I go to college. It was just soooo hilarious that he thought I was older than what I was. It also makes me think about how desperate you have to be to mistake a 15 year old for a 25 year old. I dont look that old. His accent was awesome though and he was nice. Dia woulda liked him :) lol

Golden Boy

A few months ago I stumbled across Justin Bieber on Youtube, and to be honest I LOVE him. He's from Canada and Usher cosigns with him. Talented and adorable. Check him out

Word of Advice

This post was gonna be about homecoming and all the stuff that went on, but I decided to do something that meant a little more to me.

Every once in a while a person comes along that makes you change the way you see something as a whole. That person may also make you open your eyes and see that what looks good may not be good for you. No one should ever make you feel like you deserve less than what your worth and you shouldn't give people the power to do so. If they say they care about you, they probably dont, and if they say they'll be there for you, they'll be the last one there when you need them the most. If you feel like you need someone or something to validate you, then take a look in the mirror and love yourself the way you are, and love from others will come naturally. Dont waste your time tryna change someone or something because itll hurt you more in the end. If someone doesnt meet your standards, dont lower them because eventually someone will come along that'll be imperfectly perfect for you. Love doesnt equal pain, and if the person you think you "love" isnt meeting your expectations let that person go. Dont waste your time when you could be worrying about more important things, that'll benefit you more than your highschool relationship.

I was just on the Segment and coincidentally Nebby kinda blogged about the same thing (well just in more adult terms). She said something at the end that I think goes hand in hand with the point I was tryna make. Read her post here.

"The point I'm trying to make here is a man will continue trying by using different yet creative techniques ... a boy will use one technique and keep trying it over and over again hoping it would work. A girl will take the boy back. A woman keeps it moving ;) "
